Fenugreek Yogurt Stew (Menthi Majjiga) Recipe - Cooking Index
| 1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Yogurt - (1 day sour) |
| 1 | Turmeric | |
| 1 | Stem coriander leaves | |
| 1 tablespoon | 15ml | Oil |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Black mustard seeds |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cumin seeds |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Peeled black gram dal |
| 1 | Asafetida | |
| 2 | Green chiles | |
| 1/2 | Red chile | |
| Salt - to taste |
1. Beat yogurt.
2. Chop green chiles finely. Pluck coriander. Add salt and turmeric to the yogurt.
3. Fry mustard, cumin seeds. black gram dal, asafetida and red chile. Season.
