Ellu Chaadam (Sesame Rice) Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 320g / 11oz | Rice |
5 | Red chiles | |
1/2 cup | 55g / 1.9oz | White sesame seeds |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Cashew nuts - deep fried |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Ghee |
Salt - to taste |
Cook rice until just done. Spread on a flat dish. Add salt and allow to cool. Roast sesame seeds and red chiles until brown and pound coarsely. Add to rice along with cashew nuts, oil and ghee. Mix well and serve.
