3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Chopped onions |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Minced fresh ginger |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Curry powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Minced garlic |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Minced jalapeño chili |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly ground pepper |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Chicken broth |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Frozen baby peas |
Cooked rice - optional | ||
Prepared chutney - optional | ||
Chopped peanuts - optional | ||
Chopped fresh cilantro - optional | ||
Plain yogurt - optional |
Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook, stirring until browned, about 5 minutes. Add onions, ginger, curry, garlic, jalapeño, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring, until onions are softened, 3 minutes. Add broth and peas; cook until broth is reduced and peas are hot, 2 minutes. Serve with rice and condiments: chutney, chopped peanuts, chopped fresh cilantro and plain yogurt, if desired.
