Coconut Barfi Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 93g / 3.3oz | Coconut |
Grated and ground - (on the white part) | ||
2 1/2 cups | 495g / 17oz | Sugar - (mithai special) |
6 cups | 1422ml | Whole milk |
A few drops rose essence | ||
Cochineal |
Mix all the ingredients except colour and essence. Cook on high flame till it thickens.
Add colour and essence. Pour onto a greased thali and cut into cubes when cooled.
Garnish with blanched almonds and pistachios.
