Coconut Barfi

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 93g / 3.3ozCoconut
  Grated and ground - (on the white part)
2 1/2 cups 495g / 17ozSugar - (mithai special)
6 cups 1422mlWhole milk
  A few drops rose essence
  Cochineal

Recipe Instructions

Mix all the ingredients except colour and essence. Cook on high flame till it thickens.

Add colour and essence. Pour onto a greased thali and cut into cubes when cooled.

Garnish with blanched almonds and pistachios.
