Recipe Ingredients

4 oz 113gYellow - (or red) lentils, soaked for 1 hour
2 oz 56gTomatoes - diced
1/4 oz 7.1gShallots - diced
1/4 oz 7.1gOlive oil
1/8 oz 3.6gGinger - chopped
1/2 tablespoon 7.5mlGaram masala
1/2 tablespoon 7.5mlTurmeric
1/4 tablespoon 3.8mlCaraway seed
3/4   Water
  Salt and pepper - to taste

Recipe Instructions

Heat oil, fry caraway seeds, garam masala, ginger and shallots Add lentils, turmeric and continue to fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Add water and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until lentils are just cooked. Add seasoning and diced tomatoes.
