4 oz | 113g | Yellow - (or red) lentils, soaked for 1 hour |
2 oz | 56g | Tomatoes - diced |
1/4 oz | 7.1g | Shallots - diced |
1/4 oz | 7.1g | Olive oil |
1/8 oz | 3.6g | Ginger - chopped |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Garam masala |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Turmeric |
1/4 tablespoon | 3.8ml | Caraway seed |
3/4 | Water | |
Salt and pepper - to taste |
Heat oil, fry caraway seeds, garam masala, ginger and shallots Add lentils, turmeric and continue to fry for 1 to 2 minutes. Add water and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until lentils are just cooked. Add seasoning and diced tomatoes.
