Wasabi Garlic Sauce for Steaks

Recipe Ingredients

2 cups 474mlCanned low salt chicken broth
1/4 cup 27g / 1ozChopped celery
1 tablespoon 15mlSoy sauce
1 cup 237mlCanned beef broth
3   Garlic cloves - chopped
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped onion
1 teaspoon 5mlTomato paste
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozChopped seeded tomato
5 teaspoons 25mlNAMIDA Hot Wasabi paste
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozChopped peeled apple
1/4 cup 27g / 1ozChopped carrots

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients except wasabi paste in large saucepan.

Bring to boil.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour.

Strain into medium saucepan.

Boil until reduced to 1/2 cup, about 15 minutes.

Stir in wasabi paste. Season with salt and pepper.

(Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and chill.)

Serve with steaks.

Yield: 4 3/4 cups
