Turkey Bayou Burgers Recipe - Cooking Index

2 | Scallions - 3 inches of top left on, thinly sliced | |
1 | Red bell pepper - finely chopped | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Garlic - minced |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Cilantro - chopped |
3/4 teaspoon | 3.8ml | Dried thyme |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cumin |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Paprika |
Red pepper flakes to taste | ||
Salt and pepper to taste | ||
4 | Hamburger buns - toasted | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Regular or reduced calorie mayonnaise |
Type dressing | ||
1 | Ripe avocado - sliced |
Prepare hot coals for grilling.
Place the ground turkey in a bowl and mix well with the scallions, bell pepper, garlic, cilantro, and spices.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Gently form into 4 patties.
Grill patties over hot coals, 3 inches from heat, for about 5 or 6 minutes per side.
