Texas Barbecue Sauce For Spareribs Or Chicken Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Paprika |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Cayenne pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cinnamon |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Vinegar |
1 cup | 237ml | Tomato juice or tomato sauce |
1 | Lemon - juice of | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Ketchup |
1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Diced onion |
Mix all of the above in a saucepan and simmer for 15 minutes.
Pour sauce over a single layer of chicken in a baking tray.
Grill over medium coals until chicken internal temperature reaches 160F. Baste with sauce once or twice, about 1 1/2 hours.
