Southwestern Tri Tip Marinade Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 474ml | Red wine |
1 | Beer | |
1 | Red onion - sliced (small) | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Sea salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Black pepper |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Red pepper flakes |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Ground cumin |
6 | Fresh limes - squeezed for the juice, up to 8 | |
1/2 | Fresh cilantro - chopped |
Mix all and marinade meat in this at least overnight and as long as up to 3 days.
Works great for fajitas. Can use a little of the lime rind too if desired.
For more heat add 2-3 seeded and chopped jalapenos.
