Pepper Beef Kabobs Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Beef sirloin steak - ( 1 inch thick) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Fresh lemon juice |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Water |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dijon mustard |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Honey |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried oregano |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Green - yellow, or red bell (medium) pepper, cut into 1 inch |

Cut steak into 1 inch pieces. Whisk together oil, lemon juice, water, mustard, honey, oregano, and pepper in large bowl; add beef, bell pepper, and mushrooms, stirring to coat. Alternately thread pieces of beef, bell pepper, and mushrooms on each of 4 12-inch skewers.
Place kabobs on rack in broiler pan so surface of meat is 3 to 4 inches from heat.
Grill kabobs over medium coals for 8 to 11 minutes for rare to medium, turning occasionally.
Season with salt, if desired.
