Grilled Lamb Burgers Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 59ml | Bulgur wheat |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Ground lamb |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Snipped parsley |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Finely chopped onion |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dry red wine |
1 | Garlic - minced | |
1/8 teaspoon | 0.6ml | Dried mint - crushed |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground allspice |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
Pita bread | ||
Lettuce leaves | ||
Chopped cucumber | ||
Plain yogurt |
Soak bulgur wheat in warm water for 1 hour; drain well.
Combine bulgur with ground lamb, parsley, onion, red wine, garlic, mint, allspice and salt.
Shape into patties and grill over medium coals for 16-18 minutes or until done.
Serve with pita bread, lettuce, cucumber and yogurt.
