Grilled Beef Blade Steaks With Spicy Orange Marinade Recipe - Cooking Index
6 | Boneless beef blade steak 1-inch thick | |
2 | Bell pepper - quartered (large) | |
2 | Navel oranges | |
1 cup | 237ml | Orange juice |
1/3 cup | 78ml | Vegetable oil |
2 | Garlic | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Soy sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cider vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Red pepper flakes |
In a large shallow pan arrange the blade steaks in one layer and add the be peppers .
In a blender, blend the orange zest, juice, oil, garlic, soy sauce red pepper flakes, vinegar, and the salt until the marinade is smooth, pour over the steaks and the peppers coating them thoroughly and letting the mixture marinate, covered and chilled overnight.
Grill the steaks and the peppers, discard the marinade, on an oiled rack 5- inches over the coals for 8 minutes each side for med-rare.
Transfer the steak to a platter and let the steaks stand for 5 min.
