Deviled Swiss Steak Recipe - Cooking Index
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Pepper |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 cup | 237ml | Beef broth - * see note |
1 1/2 | Bottom round steak | |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Mushrooms - sliced |
* may have to add more as steak cooks.
Mix flour, mustard, and pepper and pound into both sides of beef. Brown in the oil.
Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth and simmer 2 1/2 hours.
Add mushrooms and cook for an additional 1/2 hour.
