Beef Stroganoff - 2 Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Beef sirloin steak |
| 1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Butter or margarine |
| 1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Fresh mushrooms - sliced 1/4" thick |
| 4 | Green onions - chopped fine | |
| 2 | Garlic - chopped fine | |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Beef stock |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Lemon juice |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Flour |
| 1 cup | 237ml | Sour cream |
| 1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dill weed |
Toss sirloin strips with flour to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Brown in butter (essential that the meat remains a little pink ).
Sprinkle with any remaining flour that did not adhere to the meat, stirring for 1 minute.
Add beef stock and spices bringing to a boil, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat add sour cream.
