1/2 cup | 31g / 1.1oz | Flour |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Pepper |
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Beef chuck - cubed |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Oil |
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Onions - sliced |
2 | Garlic - minced | |
1 | Bay leaf | |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Tomato paste |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Chopped parsley |
1 | Beef broth | |
2 cups | 474ml | Beer |
Preheat oven to 325F.
Mix flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge meat in mixture.
Heat oil in Dutch oven; brown meat. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer.
Cover and bake in oven 2 hours.
