Thai Hot Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
1/2 cup | 118ml | Tamarind puree |
6 tablespoons | 90ml | Water |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Chopped onion |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ground cumin |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Jalapeno pepper; halved and seeded (large) |
1 | Garlic clove |
Combine all ingredients in a blender, and process until smooth.
Yield: 1 cup (serving size: 1 tablespoon).
NOTES : Serve this sauce with Gallo Pinto, grilled meats, chicken, or fish, or use it as a marinade.
