Tart Sweet Dipping Sauce - Midsummer Thai Dinner Recipe - Cooking Index
1 cup | 198g / 7oz | Sugar |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Water |
1/2 cup | 118ml | White vinegar |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Garlic; chopped |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Fish sauce |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Chili sauce |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Lime juice |
1/4 cup | 27g / 1oz | Carrot; shredded |
This is the traditional Thai dipping sauce used for salad rolls, spring rolls, and most everything else.
Combine sugar, water and vinegar.
Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
Stir in garlic, fish sauce and chili sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.
Cool and add lime juice and shredded carrot
