Stir-Fried Beef With Oyster Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 lb | 340g / 11oz | Beef - thinly sliced |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Thin soy sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Cooking wine |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Cornstarch |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Minced garlic |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Onion - cut into pieces |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Red bell pepper - cut into pieces |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Green bell pepper - cut into pieces |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Straw mushrooms - cut into pieces |
3/4 tablespoon | 11ml | Thin soy sauce |
3/4 tablespoon | 11ml | Oyster sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Sweet soy sauce |
1/4 cup | 15g / 0.5oz | Green onions - cut in 1" pieces |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Beef stock |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
1. Marinate beef with 1 teaspoon thin soy sauce, wine and 1 teaspoon of cornstarch.
2. Heat 2 T oil and stir-fry garlic until fragrant. Add beef and stir-fry briefly.
3. Add onion, red and green peppers and mushrooms, then 3/4 T of thin soy sauce, oyster sauce and sweet soy sauce. Stir to mix.
4. Thicken with beefstock, remaining cornstarch and add green onions.
