Khao Pad Muo Bau Ga-Prow

Recipe Ingredients

3 tablespoons 45mlOil
4 oz 113gPork loin (or other meat)
3   Garlic cloves - minced
1/2 cup 118mlThai chiles or jalapeno - sliced
1/4 cup 15g / 0.5ozSliced onions
4 cups 640g / 22ozCooked rice - (Thai jasmine)
1/3 cup 78mlFish sauce - (nam pla)
2 tablespoons 30mlSugar
1 tablespoon 15mlSweet soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlWhite pepper
1 cup 40g / 1.4ozBasil leaves
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozTomato - cut into wedges (small)
1/2 cup 118mlSliced cucumber
4   Green onions - cut in 4" lengths
1   Carrot - thinly sliced

Recipe Instructions

Heat a large skillet until hot and add the oil. Add the meat, garlic, chiles (or peppers) and onions and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the rice, fish sauce, sugar, soy sauce and white pepper and continue to cook until the rice is hot. Toss in the basil leaves and stir to combine.

Remove to a serving plate and garnish with tomato, cucumber, carrot and green onions.
