Slightly Spicy Corn Bread Recipe - Cooking Index
Serve with Wolfgang's Spicy Seven Bean with Italian Sausage Soup or Hearty Vegetable Beef Soup.

1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Cornmeal |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Baking powder |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Chili powder |

1 | Cream-style corn - (12 oz) | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Milk |
1 cup | 146g / 5.1oz | Grated sharp Cheddar cheese |
Put flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder and chili powder into a bowl and mix. In a second bowl mix the eggs, corn, and milk. Add the dry ingredients and mix fast until combined.
Line an 8-inch round baking tin with wax paper and pour mixture in. Put the grated cheese over the top of the mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. You know it's cooked when a skewer comes out clean. Cool for ten minutes.
