French Croque-Monsieur (Ham And Cheese) Sandwiches Recipe - Cooking Index
The perfect soup to go with a croque-monsieur? Obviously Wolfgang's Country French Onion Soup.

1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dijon mustard |
4 | Gruyere cheese | |
2 | Thin slices ham | |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter or extra-virgin olive oil |
Spread the bread with the mustard. Place a slice of cheese on two slices of the bread, then a slice of ham, then another slice of cheese. Cover with the remaining bread slices.
Heat the butter or oil in a frying pan and cook the sandwiches on both sides until golden brown and the cheese has melted. Serve immediately.
