Cranberry-Apple Relish

Recipe Ingredients

1   Bag fresh cranberries - (12 oz)
4   Sweet cooking apples - peeled, diced
  = (such as Cortland)
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozLight brown sugar or Sucanat
1/4 cup 59mlApple juice
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlCinnamon
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlGround ginger
1   Allspice or nutmeg
1/4 cup 40g / 1.4ozGolden raisins

Recipe Instructions

Combine all the ingredients except the raisins in a large saucepan. Stir together; bring to a simmer, then simmer gently, covered until the cranberries have burst and the apples are tender, about 20 to 25 minutes.

Stir in the raisins and allow to cool, uncovered. Transfer to a serving container and serve at room temperature.

This recipe yields 8 or more servings.
