Chicken Barbeque Sauce | ||
1 cup | 237ml | K.C. Masterpiece sauce |
1 cup | 328g / 11oz | Corn syrup |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Durkees hot sauce |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Cranraspberry juice |
1/8 cup | 20g / 0.7oz | Brown sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | White pepper |
1/8 cup | 29ml | Dark molasses |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Onion powder |
Special Rub | ||
1/2 cup | 80g / 2.8oz | Brown sugar |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | MSG |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Hot curry powder |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Paprika |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Garlic powder |
1 1/2 tablespoons | 22ml | Onion powder |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Meat tenderizer |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | White pepper |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Cayenne pepper |
Mix all ingredients for special rub and set aside. Mix all ingredients for barbeque chicken sauce and set aside. Season chicken with special rub.
Smoke chicken for 1 1/2 hours at 200F.
Increase heat until meat is done (275 to 300F), while basting chicken with barbeque chicken sauce. Total cooking time is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
