Tuna And Vegetable Chowder Recipe - Cooking Index
4 cups | 948ml | Water |
5 teaspoons | 25ml | Chicken, vegetable or onion base |
3 oz | 85g | Cabbage - shredded |
5 oz | 142g | Frozen chopped broccoli |
5 oz | 142g | Frozen carrot slices |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried thyme leaf |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce |
2 | Tuna in water - (6 to 7 oz ea) |
In a large saucepot, bring water to boil; add base and stir until dissolved. Add cabbage; simmer 15 minutes.
Stir in broccoli, carrots, thyme and Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce; simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Add tuna just before serving.
This recipe yields 4 (12-oz) servings.
