Green Turkey Chili Recipe - Cooking Index

6 cups | 660g / 23oz | Celery stalks - diced (large) |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Green bell pepper - seeded, diced (large) |
4 | Green onions - sliced | |
4 | Garlic cloves - minced (large) | |
2 lbs | 908g / 32oz | Ground turkey |
2 | Canned white kidney beans - drained, rinsed | |
2/3 cup | 157ml | Tabasco brand Green Pepper Sauce |
3 cups | 711ml | Water |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Salt |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Chopped parsley |
Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add celery and green pepper and cook 5 minutes. Add green onions and garlic, cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. With slotted spoon, remove vegetables to plate.
Add remaining 2 tablespoons oil. Over medium-high heat, cook ground turkey until well-browned on all sides, stirring frequently.
Add cooked vegetables, kidney beans, Tabasco brand Green Pepper Sauce, water and salt. Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover saucepan and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in parsley and serve.
