Cajun Butter With Tabasco Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Butter - softened |
2 1/2 tablespoons | 37ml | Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce |
2 1/2 tablespoons | 37ml | Cajun spice mix |
2 1/2 tablespoons | 37ml | Finely-chopped parsley |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Finely-chopped thyme - plus |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Finely chopped |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Salt |
Mix the butter, Tabasco brand Pepper Sauce, cajun spice mix, parsley, thyme and salt in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a paddle. Portion into ramekins, if desired.
Optional: Add 2 1/2 tablespoons chopped scallion to the above mixture. Mix 2 tablespoons paprika, 1 teaspoons onion powder, 1 teaspoons garlic powder and 1 teaspoons black pepper, and use in place of the Cajun spice mix.
This recipe yields 12 servings.
