Honeydew Granita Recipe - Cooking Index
3/4 cup | 148g / 5.2oz | Sugar |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Water |
4 cups | 948ml | Honeydew melon chunks |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Tabasco brand Green Pepper Sauce |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Lime juice |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Grated lime peel |
Combine sugar and water in small saucepan; cook over medium-low heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool mixture to room temperature.
Puree melon chunks until smooth in food processor or blender. Stir in Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce, lime juice, lime peel and sugar mixture.
Pour mixture into a shallow pan. Freeze 4 to 5 hours, stirring mixture occasionally.
This recipe yields 5 cups.
