Apple Cinnamon Glazed Shrimp Satay Recipe - Cooking Index
A bold new flavor for Winter holiday menus.
Type: Fish, Shellfish1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Apple pie filling - (14 oz) |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Oil |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tabasco brand Habanero Pepper Sauce |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
40 | Shrimp - (2 lbs) - peeled, deveined, and tails left on | |
8 | Skewers |
To prepare the glaze, place apple pie filling in a food processor or blender and puree until smooth. Add oil, Tabasco brand Habanero Pepper Sauce, salt and pepper.
Place 5 shrimp per skewer and brush with 1 cup of the glaze. Allow to marinate for 20 minutes.
Grill shrimp skewers over high heat for 2 minutes per side. Remove from heat and brush with the remaining glaze.
