Almond Pepper Biscotti Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 125g / 4.4oz | Flour |
1/2 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | Whole almonds |
1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Sugar |
4 | Eggs - beaten | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Tabasco brand Green Pepper Sauce |
1/2 oz | 14g | Baking powder |
6 oz | 170g | White chocolate chips |
2 | Egg whites - beaten |
Blend together three-fourths of the flour, the almonds, sugar, whole eggs, Tabasco brand Green Pepper Sauce, and baking powder until dough forms.
Add the white chocolate chips and knead in the remaining flour. Roll into log and flatten, brush with the egg whites.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until puffed and lightly browned. Cool for 15 minutes. Cut into 3/4-inch slices.
Place cut-sides down and toast each side for 10 minutes at 275 degrees.
