Peanut Rice Recipe - Cooking Index
2 1/4 cups | 533ml | Water |
1 cup | 160g / 5.6oz | White basmati rice - uncooked |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Ground turmeric |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Dry-roasted peanuts |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Frozen petite green peas - thawed |
Bring the water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add rice, salt and turmeric; cover, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat; stir in peanuts and peas.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
