Cabbage Chowder Recipe - Cooking Index
2 cups | 220g / 7.8oz | Diagonally sliced carrots |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Margarine |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Caraway seeds |
2 | Cream of celery soup | |
1 | Milk | |
1 | Water | |
3 cups | 711ml | Shredded cabbage |
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Smoked sausage - cut 1/2" slices |
In a large kettle, combine the carrots, margarine and caraway seeds; cook over low heat until the carrots are just crisp-tender, about 5 minutes.
Add soup, milk, water, cabbage and sausage. Bring to boil; reduce heat and cook until cabbage is tender, about 15 minutes.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
