1 tablespoon | 15ml | Vegetable oil |
3 cups | 711ml | Water |
2 | Chicken bouillon cubes | |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Salt |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground black pepper |
1 | Bay leaf | |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Powdered thyme |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Uncooked rice |
1 | Tomato sauce - (8-oz) |
Cook ground turkey and onion in oil in a Dutch oven or large kettle until onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered, 30 minutes.
This recipe yields about 14 cups (6 to 8 main-dish servings).
