4 lbs | 1816g / 64oz | Potatoes - (to 5) - cubed (medium) |
6 lbs | 2724g / 96oz | Carrots - cubed (medium) |
4 lbs | 1816g / 64oz | Onions - (to 6) - diced (medium) |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Basil |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Salt - (to 2 tspns) |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Tapioca |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Water |
8 oz | 227g | Tomato juice |
Kitchen Bouquet - (optional) |
Place meat and vegetables in heavy pan or roaster. Mix seasonings, tapioca, water, tomato juice, and bouquet together. Pour over meat. Put lid on, bake 4 1/2 to 5 hours at 250 degrees. Stir occasionally.
