6 lbs 2724g / 96ozCarrots - cubed (medium)
4 lbs 1816g / 64ozOnions - (to 6) - diced (medium)
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlBasil
1 tablespoon 15mlSugar
1 1/2 teaspoons 7.5mlSalt - (to 2 tspns)
3 tablespoons 45mlTapioca
1/4 cup 59mlWater
8 oz 227gTomato juice
  Kitchen Bouquet - (optional)

Recipe Instructions

Place meat and vegetables in heavy pan or roaster. Mix seasonings, tapioca, water, tomato juice, and bouquet together. Pour over meat. Put lid on, bake 4 1/2 to 5 hours at 250 degrees. Stir occasionally.
