Creamy Pumpkin Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
3 cups | 711ml | Green or ripe pumpkin |
3 cups | 711ml | Chicken broth |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Butter |
1/2 tablespoon | 7.5ml | Flour |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Ginger |
1 | Freshly-ground black pepper | |
3/4 cup | 177ml | Light cream |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Julienned ham |
Nutmeg - to taste |
Mix pumpkin and chicken broth. Blend in butter and flour. Add remaining ingredients, except for nutmeg, in order. Heat, but don't boil. Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
