Ham Chowder Recipe - Cooking Index
Buy a thick slice of ham at the deli counter and trim off any fat before dicing it.

1 | Diced tomatoes in juice - (15 oz) | |
1 | Reduced-sodium chicken broth - (14 1/2 oz) - defatted | |
2 cups | 292g / 10oz | Diced lean ham |
1 cup | 237ml | Frozen green peas |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Low-sodium Worcestershire sauce |
Prepare or reheat chowder base.
Stir in tomatoes (with juice), broth, ham, peas, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 15 minutes.
This recipe yields 10 1/2 cups.
