Beef Mulligan Stew With Rice

Recipe Ingredients

1 lb 454g / 16ozGround beef
1/2 lb 227g / 8ozGround ham
1   Tomatoes - (28 oz)
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1/8 teaspoon 0.6mlFreshly-ground black pepper
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozUncooked rice
1   Onion - diced
1   Bay leaf
1   Peas - (abt 14 oz)
1 cup 110g / 3.9ozDiced carrots

Recipe Instructions

Brown meat in a Dutch oven. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, rice, onion, bay leaf, peas and carrots. Cover; cook over high heat until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf; serve.

This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
