1/2 lb | 227g / 8oz | Monkfish or shark - cut bite size |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Soy sauce |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Dry sherry or vermouth |
8 | Canned water chestnuts - cut in half | |
9 | Bacon slices - cut in half |
Mix soy sauce and sherry or vermouth. Marinate fish and water chestnuts in the mixture for about 15 minutes.
Wrap a piece of fish and half a water chestnut with a half strip of bacon. Secure with a toothpick. Broil until the bacon is crisp.
This recipe yields 16 appetizer servings.
