Crab Cakes Recipe - Cooking Index
1 lb | 454g / 16oz | Crab meat |
1/2 cup | 73g / 2.6oz | Cracker or bread crumbs |
2 | Eggs | |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Mayonnaise |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Seafood seasoning |
1/4 teaspoon | 1.3ml | Freshly-ground white pepper |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Dry mustard |
Drain crabmeat and remove any shell fragments if necessary.
In a bowl mix together eggs, mayonnaise, seafood seasoning, white pepper, Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard. Add crab meat and mix together evenly and gently. Add cracker or bread crumbs and mix evenly.
Shape mixture into 6 evenly sized crab cakes. Saute crab cakes in a frying pan with oil for 3 to 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
This recipe yields 2 to 3 servings.
