Clams Oreganata

Recipe Ingredients

12   Littleneck or cherrystone clams - on the half shell
  Fine plain bread crumbs - as needed
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlDried oregano
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlDried parsley
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlDried basil
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlGrated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons 30mlOlive oil

Recipe Instructions

Put 12 opened clams on the half shell in a baking dish. Lightly cover clams with bread crumbs. Sprinkle with basil, parsley, oregano and Parmesan cheese. Drizzle with olive oil.

Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Serve immediately.

This recipe yields 2 to 4 servings as an appetizer.
