Grayton Beach Grouper Soup Recipe - Cooking Index
1 1/2 lbs | 681g / 24oz | Grouper fillets |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Paprika |
Non-stick cooking spray | ||
2 | Tomato sauce - (15 oz ea) | |
8 oz | 227g | Fresh mushrooms - sliced |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground thyme |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground marjoram |
1 teaspoon | 5ml | Ground savory |
1 cup | 62g / 2.2oz | Chopped green onions |
Cut fillets in pieces, approximately 2 by 2 inches; toss with paprika. Lightly oil large skillet with cooking spray; brown fish on medium-high until it flakes easily when tested with a fork. Remove from heat, set aside and keep warm.
In the same skillet combine tomato sauce, mushrooms, thyme, marjoram and savory; simmer on medium-low heat until mushrooms are tender.
Divide tomato sauce mixture evenly into four soup bowls; add fish and top with green onions.
This recipe yields 4 servings.
