Tartar Sauce Recipe - Cooking Index
Any number of variations are possible on the tartar sauce theme. If you like a more piquant flavor, add a dash of vinegar, Dijon mustard or even a bit of horseradish. Starting with homemade mayonnaise raises good old tartar sauce to a higher plane.
Type: Fish3/4 cup | 177ml | Mayonnaise |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Finely-chopped dill pickle |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Finely-chopped onion |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Minced fresh dill |
(or 2 tspns dried dill) |
Combine all the ingredients and stir to blend. Refrigerate until needed.
This recipe yields about 1 cup.
