1/4 cup 59mlPickling spices
2 tablespoons 30mlMustard seeds
2 tablespoons 30mlWhole black peppercorns
1 tablespoon 15mlCelery seeds
2 tablespoons 30mlDried hot red pepper flakes
2 teaspoons 10mlGround ginger
5   Bay leaves
2 teaspoons 10mlDried oregano
1 tablespoon 15mlDried minced chives
1/4 cup 59mlSea salt

Recipe Instructions

In a food processor combine all ingredients and pulse until mixture forms a coarse powder. Crab-boil spices keep in a well-sealed container for several months in a cool, dark place.

This recipe yields about 1 cup.
