Crab-Boil Spices Recipe - Cooking Index
1/4 cup | 59ml | Pickling spices |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Mustard seeds |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Whole black peppercorns |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Celery seeds |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Dried hot red pepper flakes |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Ground ginger |
5 | Bay leaves | |
2 teaspoons | 10ml | Dried oregano |
1 tablespoon | 15ml | Dried minced chives |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Sea salt |
In a food processor combine all ingredients and pulse until mixture forms a coarse powder. Crab-boil spices keep in a well-sealed container for several months in a cool, dark place.
This recipe yields about 1 cup.
