Berry And Ginger Sour Cream Brulee Recipe - Cooking Index
3 cups | 330g / 11oz | Picked-over mixed fruit such as |
Blueberries, halved strawberries, | ||
Raspberries, and seedless grapes | ||
1 1/2 cups | 355ml | Sour cream |
3 teaspoons | 15ml | Finely-chopped crystallized ginger |
1 1/2 teaspoons | 7.5ml | Vanilla |
3 tablespoons | 45ml | Light brown sugar - (firmly packed) |
Preheat broiler. In a small gratin or other shallow flame-proof baking dish arrange fruit in 1 layer. In a small bowl stir together sour cream, ginger, and vanilla and drop in dollops on top of fruit, spreading to cover fruit completely. Rub brown sugar through a sieve evenly over topping. Broil about 3-inches from heat for 2 minutes, or until brown sugar is melted. Serve immediately.
