1 cup | 237ml | Buttermilk |
2 cups | 396g / 13oz | Eggs (large) |
4 tablespoons | 60ml | Melted butter |
1 1/4 cups | 78g / 2.8oz | Stone-ground cornmeal |
3/4 cup | 46g / 1.6oz | All-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons | 30ml | Sugar |
2 1/2 teaspoons | 12ml | Baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Salt |
In a bowl whisk together 1 cup buttermilk, 2 large eggs and melted butter. Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir until combined. Spoon batter into molds and bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden.
