Romaine Salad With Blue Cheese Vinaigrette Recipe - Cooking Index
| 2 | Romaine hearts - chopped | |
| 1 | Garlic clove - chopped | |
| 1/2 teaspoon | 2.5ml | Dried oregano leaves |
| 2 teaspoons | 10ml | Sugar |
| 2 tablespoons | 30ml | Red wine vinegar |
| 1/4 cup | 59ml | Extra-virgin olive oil |
| 1/4 lb | 113g / 4oz | Blue cheese crumbles |
| Salt - to taste | ||
| Freshly-ground black pepper - to taste |
Place lettuce in a big bowl.
Combine garlic, oregano, sugar and vinegar in a small bowl. Add oil to dressing in a slow stream and mix with a whisk or fork. Stir in blue cheese.
Pour dressing over salad and toss. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
This recipe yields 2 Big Guy servings.
