Pennestroika Penne With Vodka And Spicy Tomato Cream Sauc

Recipe Ingredients

1/8 cup 29mlExtra virgin olive oil
2 cups 186g / 6.6ozGarlic cloves minced (large)
1/4 teaspoon 1.3mlCrushed red pepper flakes
1   Salt
1   Diced tomatoes
8 oz 227gPenne or similar pasta
1/2 cup 118mlHeavy cream or half and
  - half
2 tablespoons 30mlVodka
1/4 cup 36g / 1.3ozChopped parsley

Recipe Instructions

Combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly. In unheated large skillet combine oil, garlic, peppers and pinch of salt. Stir to coat with oil. Cook over moderate heat till garlic is golden. Stir in tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes. Meanwhile boil water and cook pasta al dente. Add drained pasta to skillet with tomato sauce. Add vodka and toss. Add cream and toss. Cover and reduce heat to low. Let sit
