Pears With Caciotta, Hazelnuts And Warm Chestnut Honey

8 oz 227gChestnut honey or honey of your choice
4   Perfectly ripe comice pears - or the pear
  Your choice
8 oz 227gCaciotta di sienna or another semi-soft
  Sheep's milk cheese from tuscany
20   Hazelnuts - peeled

Recipe Instructions

In a small sauce pan over low heat, gently warm the chestnut honey.

Peel, core and quarter pears, remove seeds and strands. Divide pears in the center of 4 individual plates and randomly shave shards of caciotta over the pears. Place 5 hazelnuts on each plate. Using a tablespoon, randomly drizzle the warm honey over each plate. Serve immediately.

This recipe yields 4 dessert or cheese course servings.
