8 | Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and sliced | |
1 packet | Dried apricots - (8 oz) - chopped | |
1 cup | 237ml | Orange juice |
1/2 cup | 99g / 3.5oz | Sugar |
1/4 cup | 59ml | Lemon juice |
2 | Cinnamon sticks | |
1/2 cup | 118ml | Rum - (optional) |
In a 5-quart or larger pressure cooker, add all ingredients. Allow liquid to begin simmering. Immediately adjust heat to stabilize pressure at second red ring (15 pounds pressure). Cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and let pressure subside naturally, (Natural Release Method). Remove cinnamon sticks and serve over ice cream or as a filling for crepes.
