The Lady And Sons Beer-Battered Fried Shrimp

Recipe Ingredients

1 cup 237mlBeer
1 cup 62g / 2.2ozAll-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon 2.5mlSalt
  Oil - for frying
21   Shrimp - (to 25) - peeled, with (large)
  Tails left on

Recipe Instructions

Preheat a fryer or a deep pot halfway filled with oil to 350 degrees.

In a bowl, combine the beer, flour, and salt, and allow to sit at room temperature for several hours. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and dip the shrimp in the batter and fry for approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Drain shrimp on paper towels.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
