3/4 cup 109g / 3.8ozCoarsely-chopped pecans
3/4 cup 109g / 3.8ozCoarsely-chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups 139g / 4.9ozFlaked coconut - (a 3 1/2-oz can)
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozSunflower seeds (meat only)
1/2 cup 118mlWheat germ
1 teaspoon 5mlGround cinnamon
1 teaspoon 5mlSalt
1   Sweetened condensed milk - (14 oz)
1/4 cup 59mlVegetable oil
1 cup 237mlBanana chips - (optional)
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozDark raisins
1/2 cup 80g / 2.8ozGolden raisins
1/2 cup 31g / 1.1ozDried cherries
1/2 cup 73g / 2.6ozDried apricots - diced

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except banana chips and raisins, cherries and apricots. Mix well. Spread evenly in an aluminum foil-lined baking sheet.

Bake 55 to 60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Remove from oven; stir in banana chips, raisins, cherries and apricots. Cool thoroughly. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

This recipe yields 2 1/2 quarts.
